Programs & Events
Each year, The State of Hope Foundation reaches over 500 children through programs in our community. Collaborating with Penns Valley Youth Center, Centre County Children and Youth Services, Park Forest Preschool, and other organizations, we work to imagine and provide new opportunities for disadvantaged youth.
Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament
Our annual golf tournament at the Mountain View Country Club in Boalsburg, PA, features current and former professional athletes and entertainers from across the nation. Beginning with lunch and ending with prizes, this event celebrates the spirit of giving.
Penns Valley Youth Center Programs
We are honored to support the Penns Valley Youth Center through ongoing financial assistance, including helping fund the purchase of a van that has become a vital resource for their programs. The Center’s dedication to providing guidance, stability, and meaningful opportunities for local youth directly aligns with our mission and the values we hold close. Their work is not only important—it is deeply personal to us—and we are proud to stand behind an organization making such a lasting impact in our community.
Target Christmas Shopping Spree
Every year, Marissa and I have the privilege of taking local foster children—and families in our community who are experiencing hard financial times—on a Christmas shopping spree at our local Target. It is such a joy to see the smiles on their faces as they pick out a favorite toy, book, outfit, or treat. This year was especially meaningful, as we hosted our first-ever Chick-fil-A Thanksgiving meal prior to the shopping spree, made possible through the generosity of our local Chick-fil-A and Toftrees, who donated their ballroom for the event. We are deeply grateful for the support of our incredible community, whose donations make this tradition possible. State of Hope is truly changing lives, starting with the little hearts right here at home.
Financial Literacy for Youth
The State of Hope Foundation proudly partners with local banks to offer financial literacy classes to youth in community programs, helping equip them with essential skills for their future. Through these workshops, children learn the basics of budgeting, saving, and responsible money management—knowledge that empowers them to make confident financial decisions as they grow. This collaboration strengthens our mission to provide meaningful opportunities that set kids up for long-term success.
